There are so many family-friendly activities and a vibrant night life just a short drive away. Check out this short-list of top five places to see when your in Galveston. Bring the RV, the Jeep, the Boat, and the family, because we've got everything!

Moody Gardens
Yes, THE Moody Gardens. There is a myriad of adventures to check out at this premier theme park, so make sure you get there early in the day. A one-day pass gets you into the main entrance where you can check out those three pyramids you saw from miles out - but don't miss out on the aquarium or rain-forest either. Looking for something really unbelievable? The Titanic Exhibit will leave you in awe. Thrilling experiences abound, but you can also slow down at the golf course.

Bishop's Palace
Don't miss out on this exquisite home and museum! Originally constructed by nationally known architect Nicholas Clayton in 1892, this house was used by the Bishop of Galveston-Houston Diocese for decades. It is listed as one of the nation's 100 outstanding buildings by the American Institute of Architects and has withstood multiple hurricanes making it a true "palace" or "castle." The inside is as impressive as the outside and is furnished with dutiful marble, rosewood stairs, stained glass windows, and Venetian chandeliers. Check it out!

The Seawall
This could very well be considered the city-square of this beautiful island. Built in 1902 after a devastating hurricane, you can run for 10 miles before you run out of delicious restaurants and quaint shops to check out. Run, bike, walk (or swim!), there is a lot of history to see along this route. With activity all around you, you can enjoy the beach lifestyle of the crowds while also stopping to view the many statues and national landmarks that riddle the route.

Moody Mansion and Museum
This house dates back to the 1800s and was held by a single family - the Moody family - until 1986 when it was turned into a museum. It may not be as impressive as Bishop's Palace from the outside, but it is far grander on the inside.

Kemah Boardwalk
Bringing in a strong finish to this list is a beautiful boardwalk located smack between Galveston and Houston. Its a real treat to spend a night away from Galveston at this great stop. Rides for children are available, and adults will be thrilled by the live music, restuarants, shopping, and smell (and sound!) of the gulf. Events are always going on and the boardwalk is a wonderland during the holidays. Be sure to stop by.

Many more sites and activities abound, and Crystal Palms RV Park is the located perfectly for you to enjoy all that the area has to offer. We offer high value camp sites in a great location and great community. We are the best RV park in the area!
